I only started listening to her a few months ago, myself. I'm 51 and most of my life I've listened to alternative rock and the more alt or punk end of pop. Sure I'd heard some of her stuff, but being a blind slave to the algorithm that I am, I finally clicked on a video and I had the same gape-jawed, clueless reaction you just did. Like, how did I not know that she could do that? All I knew was that she had been country, then they were never getting back together, and then people needed to calm down (which was a bop). This was.... this was hot. If she was this versatile, what else was I missing? And into the hole I fell. This was wonderful to watch.

Only example I can think of for getting someone who can't sing for a musical would be the trappers from "Cannibal the Musical" which was made by the guys who created South Park I believe when they were in college.

oh thank god Loser Ranger got in here! I've been watching that and Kaiju no.8 with my friends this season and I've been enjoying the heck out of both! I would big recommend the Loser Ranger ED as well... it's actually kind of a tossup as to which you might prefer, the OP or the ED, because they're both very good. brief synopsis of Loser Ranger: it is about a Power Rangers -esque squad, which formed in response to the arrival of monsters from space, who want to take over the world... but the Rangers have since defeated all the boss monsters, and now only the evil foot soldiers are left. but the Ranger squad doesn't want to give up their time in the spotlight, so they've arranged a deal with the monster grunt workers... if they keep putting on an act, and providing a new monster each week, so that the Rangers can "defeat" it in front of an audience, then the Rangers won't go in and kill every single last one of them. so basically these little black-clad skull faced guys are an oppressed class of people, working simply for their own continued survival, because their job was never to be strong enough to defeat protagonist level folks like the Rangers in the first place. that is, until one particular grunt worker gets fed up, and decides to really try and do something about the Rangers once and for all. already it's kind of a wacky subversive premise, but things have only escalated more and more wildly with every episode. I have no clue where this story thinks it's going, or what it thinks it's doing, but I am so here for the amount of chaos in this thing. it is _very_ fun, and it uses those implicit horror elements _very_ well. also, I recognized that Tsukimichi vocalist immediately from Chainsaw Man ED 5... they've got such a distinctive voice, and while the visuals are a huge part of why that ED is my favorite CSM ED, I loved the vocals there too. my own personal little recommendation wish list is: - those last two Golden Kamuy endings... one of them is by the Sixth Lie, so I think you'll really like it. - Bang Brave Bang Bravern... I just really _really_ liked this one. a lot. - the second Delicious in Dungeon OP. it's so much fun, I don't want you to miss out on seeing it! - Pluto. idk how. it doesn't have an OP/ED, so I don't know how to recommend it... part of me thinks there might not be a way. but that breaks my heart so I'm bringing it up again. I feel like it was treated as such a flash in the pan, if that, and now it seems like everyone has blown right past it when it's one of the most holistically amazing animated things we've gotten in recent memory. I have no clue how to put it out there in a way that matters, but after watching it, I feel like part of me stayed there and never left. I felt that way about Vinland Saga after I watched it as well. this one is special.
